Gillingham Death Is Murder Enquiry

A man who was stabbed in the early hours of New Year's Day has died in hospital, prompting police to launch a murder inquiry. Officers were called to Windmill Road in Gillingham, Kent, at about 2.50am on January 1 following reports of a stabbing. A 28-year-old man was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital and he died on Saturday, according to Kent Police. Two men have appeared in court charged with assault causing grievous bodily harm in connection with the attack, and police are to review the charges.
