
For the first time in the Spanish-language awards show’s nearly 25-year history, the 2023 Latin Grammys are happening outside of the United States. The three-hour long ceremony will instead take place in the city of Seville in Spain on Thursday, and U.S.-based viewers can catch the celebration at 8 p.m. ET on Univision, UniMás and Galavisión. The show will also be broadcast in over 80 countries worldwide, with the event being broadcast on Radiotelevisión Española in Spain at 10:30 p.m. CET. The 24th annual show will also air on cable channel TNT at 7:30 p.m. in Mexico, 8:30 p.m. in Panama and Colombia, 9:30 p.m. in Venezuela and 10:30 p.m. in Argentina and Chile. The ceremony returns with scheduled performances from Maluma, Milo J, Rosalía, Shakira and Sebastián Yatra. Eslabon Armado and Peso Pluma are also confirmed to perform their song of the year-nominated “Ella Baila Sola.”
Best new artist nominees Borja, Natascha Falcão, Gale, Paola Guanche, Joaquina and León Leiden will also take the stage. Other nominees featured on the performance lineup include Pablo Alborán, Camilo, Manuel Carrasco, Iza, Juanes and Ozuna. Jorge Drexler, who was the biggest winner last year, will serve as a presenter, in addition to Anitta, Pedro Capó, Majo Aguilar, Luis Figueroa, Fonseca, Tiago Iorc, Mon Laferte, Natalia Lafourcade, John Leguizamo, Nicki Nicole, Carlos Ponce, Carlos Vives and Yandel.
Hosts for the evening will include Danna Paola and Yatra alongside actresses Roselyn Sánchez and Paz Vega.
Songwriter-producer Édgar Barrera leads the nominations list with 13 recognitions, including four nominations in the top general categories. He’s up for record of the year (“La Fórmula” by Maluma and Marc Anthony), album (“De Adentro Pa Afuera” by Camilo) of the year and has two songs nominated for song of the year (“NASA” by Camilo feat. Alejandro Sanz and “Un X100to” by Grupo Frontera feat. Bad Bunny).
